She shoves one of her sleeves up and thrusts her arm out, showing it to him. Steve stares down at the 008 tattooed on her skin. He curls his lips slightly, looking back up at her face. He has no idea what he’s looking at and his head is starting to pound. He can still faintly feel the burn on his skin and it’s freaking him the fuck out, okay? He just wants to grab the boys, get them home, and then curl up in a bathtub full of cold water until he has to wake up for school.
She stares at him intently.
“Is that supposed to mean something to me, or what?” he asks.
