ok hatred for reylos aside im really worried about that last scene because imo kylo is not gonna be offering his hand to rey like the trailer implies bc then it would be obvious when the movie rolls around, and it will probably serve as shock factor when whomever joins kylo or is being offered to join turns out not to be rey SO my real worry is. who’s kylo really offering his hand to

We know Finn is going back into the First Order in what looks like an undercover mission. We see him wearing an officer’s uniform at a couple points in the trailer, in some of the figure sets / art, and obviously we see him throw down with Phasma while wearing a FIrst Order uniform.
How does he get there? He’s known. He’s a traitor. There is a kill order on sight for him! That’s not exactly easy to get around if you’re going to be a spy.
Unless of course, your audacity is your shield.
Imagine Finn staging a breakup fight with Poe in the midst of a battle where they know Kylo will be present. Imagine Poe getting hit badly enough to wound – not kill, but seriously knock him down / out, enough to make it all look good when Finn turns, kneels down before Kylo Ren, and begs forgiveness for his mistakes.
Imagine having the balls to lie to the guy you watched kill his own father in front of you, and thanks to all that mental discipline and conditioning Hux was pumping into his head since childhood, Finn has the ability to make himself believe enough to sell it.
So this stormtrooper, this traitor, this sanitation working nobody who betrayed them all is suddenly being brought back to the First Order not in chains, but in glory, with Kylo Ren himself praising FN-2187 for seeing through the hollow lies of the Republic and having crippled the greatest pilot in the Resistance before returning to the fold.
How do you get back inside an organization who wants to kill you?
By making them welcome you back home.
THEY AREN’T THAT CLEVER, BUT THIS THEORY IS EVERYTHING!!!
I am diabetic and I do not want to die. I am a fighter, a survivor if you will. I’m not sure HOW LONG I would last in a dystopian world but there is one thing I am positive of: I would NEVER be the flat character in your stories that is like “I’m going to die anyway so please just leave me behind.”
Like… EXCUSE ME?
1) It’s just as inevitable for me to die as it is any of the other people there.
2) Even if I AM going to die, I’m not going to just stand there and let it happen faster. I want to live! Isn’t that in human nature? Just because I have a disability (in this case, diabetes) does not mean I won’t go down fighting.
3) NO ONE EVER WANTS TO BE LEFT BEHIND! Like my goodness! “Oh, go on. I’ll just wait here while the zombie hoard catches up…. and I’m alone… and it’s nighttime… in the woods… where there are also crazed maniacs with guns.” Who in their right mind would want to be left behind by themselves in an apocalypse!?
4) I would rather die because I was trying to live and my disability got in the way, than give up on life because I have a disability.
5) I am human. I care about myself and those around me. I want the world to be a better place. And I want to live a happy life.
So please please please! Stop using disability characters as instant sympathy grabbers. If you want people to feel for them when they die then make them worth feeling for. Make them the character that everyone loves. And make them independent! Unless they received the disability IN the apocalypse they should know how to take care of themselves. They’ll have to make adjustments but all of your characters have to do that so why should they be any different?
If you don’t know how to make a normal disability character then talk to someone with a disability. Or take constructive criticism from people with that disability after you’ve written the character. Or simply don’t make that character have a disability.
