A young lawyer Enzo is assigned to a gloomy village in the mists of eastern Europe. He is captured and imprisoned by the undead vampire Klaus, who travels to London, inspired by a photograph of Enzo’s betrothed, the beautiful Bonnie Bennett, who resembles his lost wife. In Britain, Klaus begins a seduction game with Bonnie Bennett, who proves herself to be lovely, witty and a more delicious challenge that he previous thought. An ancient power flows in her veins and she wouldn’t be easily charmed by the handsome vampire.

Local graffiti artists Bonnie Bennett and Nik Mikaelson, aka “The Witch” and “The Wolf”, have been rivals since the moment they tagged their first works. The rebellious and headstrong daughter of Trinidadian immigrants, Bonnie has little but scorn for Nik and his posse of disaffected punk rockers. Homeless since the age of twelve, Nik’s always thought Bonnie was just a bored schoolgirl playing at delinquency. But when De Martel Real Estate starts kicking people out of their flats and buying up property in the little south London borough they both call home, Bonnie and Nik find themselves suddenly on the same team: fighting to keep their neighborhood and discovering they have more in common than either of them imagined.

The year is 1899, and Klaus Mikaelson, a young english writer, has come to Paris to follow the Bohemian revolution taking hold of the city’s underworld.
