I spend a decent amount of my time wondering what makes people stop and read a fic on Tumblr if they’re not already on somebody’s tag list. Interesting description? Good graphic? Quick teaser? Does it have to have smut? Be a one-shot? Also be posted on AO3 or some other platform? By someone you already know or by someone a friend recommended? What is it?

To be real honest, it depends on what I’m feeling at the moment. Usually, I choose by character, pairing or if there’s special detail that I want to read in that moment. Sometimes is because I read something from the author before and I love anything they do. A good graphic is something I like too, the visuals help imagine the story.
